What we are looking for ProcDNA is building out a dedicated Medical Affairs consulting and analytics practice. This role is one of the founding hires — someone who can operate as a strong engagement leader on live client work and help shape what the practice becomes, rather than stepping into an already-defined book of business. Expect the balance of the job to skew toward proactive solutioning, point-of-view development, and offering-building in year one, alongside hands-on delivery.. What you will do Practice Building & Solutioning Help define and continuously sharpen ProcDNA's Medical Affairs Analytics point of view — identifying where evidence generation, field medical effectiveness, medical information/insight workflows, and emerging AI use cases create the biggest client opportunity. Convert client conversations and market signals into reusable frameworks, accelerators, and demo-able assets the practice can reuse across pursuits, rather than one-off engagement artifacts. Represent ProcDNA's Medical Affairs point of view externally — industry forums (e.g., MAPS), webinars, published perspectives — to build the practice's visibility and credibility in market. Client Delivery & Relationship Management Lead Medical Affairs consulting engagements end-to-end across the product lifecycle — including analytics-heavy workstreams (evidence gap analysis, KOL/insight analytics, field medical effectiveness, medical information/evidence workflows) — managing multiple concurrent projects with high delivery quality and measurable business impact. Own responsibility for work product quality and its relevance to client decision-making. Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders (typically Director/Senior Director level), and contribute meaningfully to expanding those accounts. Translate ambiguous business and scientific questions into structured analytical approaches that support both scientific and commercial decision-making. Analytics & Technical Execution Identify evidence gaps and answer scientific and business questions through hands-on data analysis and research — this is a core, non-negotiable part of the role. Apply strong analytical judgment across structured and unstructured data; hands-on fluency in SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau, and familiarity with Veeva (CRM/Vault) data structures required. GenAI/NLP application experience (e.g., unstructured medical insight mining, literature synthesis, content generation workflows) is a strong plus. Team & Capability Building Mentor and coach consulting team members, setting the delivery and analytical quality bar for the practice. Contribute to internal capability building — recruiting, knowledge management, training content, and reusable IP — as a founding member of a growing practice. Business Development Support Contribute to proposals, solution design, effort estimation, and client-facing pursuit materials. Support senior leadership in client presentations and pursuit conversations; prepare executive-ready analysis and materials. Must Have 8+ years in Medical Affairs/life sciences consulting or an analogous analytics-heavy consulting environment. Demonstrated hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and a BI tool (Power BI/Tableau); Veeva ecosystem exposure preferred. Track record of leading client engagements directly, not just contributing to them. Comfort operating with ambiguity — this role has more "define the approach" work than "execute the defined plan" work. Based in the US.

About ProcDNA ProcDNA is a global rocket ship in life sciences consulting. We fuse design thinking with cutting-edge tech to create game-changing Commercial Analytics and Technology solutions for our clients. We're a passionate team of 450+ across 9 offices, all growing and learning together since our launch during the pandemic. Here, you won't be stuck in a cubicle - you'll be out in the open water, shaping the future with brilliant minds. Ready to join our epic growth journey? What we are looking for This Director role is central to scaling ProcDNA's Medical Affairs practice through independent solutioning, proposal and RFP leadership, and end-to-end delivery ownership. You'll operate with real autonomy — shaping solutions to underdefined problems, driving proposals and engagements forward without needing a fully scripted brief — while knowing when to pull in practice leadership for strategic or high-stakes calls rather than working around them. What you will do Independent Solutioning, Proposals & RFPs Lead proposal development and RFP responses largely independently — translating an ambiguous client ask into a credible, well-structured Medical Affairs solution, scope, and staffing approach. Bring structure and judgment to underdefined problems; take the first pass at solutioning rather than waiting for a fully scoped brief, then validate direction with practice leadership before committing. Contribute market and client signal back into how the practice's offerings evolve, in partnership with practice leadership — not as a strategy owner, but as a close-to-the-ground source of what's working and what clients are actually asking for. Client Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement Own delivery of complex, high-visibility Medical Affairs engagements end-to-end, ensuring quality, timeliness, and measurable business impact. Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders (typically Director to VP level), managing the day-to-day and strategic cadence of the relationship independently. Identify evidence gaps and drive data-led answers to scientific and business questions, applying deep Medical Affairs domain expertise; strong analytical judgment is core to the role, with GenAI/NLP exposure a strong advantage. Scientific Engagement (Occasional, not core) Direct engagement with KOLs, HCPs, or investigators is not an everyday part of this role. Occasional involvement is expected in specific contexts — for example, supporting primary market research, advisory boards, or similar client-facing research activities — but the role is not built around running field medical or investigator relationships. Business Development Own proposal development, solution design, and client presentations as a core, regular part of the role. Build pipeline within existing and adjacent accounts by converting delivery credibility and client trust into follow-on and expanded work. Team Leadership Mentor and develop consulting team members, setting the standard for delivery quality, analytical rigor, and client communication. Support hiring as the practice grows — interviewing candidates and weighing in on fit — without owning headcount strategy. How you operate Strong sense of agency — takes ownership of ambiguous problems and drives them to resolution without needing to be told each next step. Equally comfortable escalating: proactively seeks guidance from practice leadership on strategic, high-stakes, or high-ambiguity decisions rather than guessing or going quiet. Must Have 10–14+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical Consulting, or Life Sciences. Advanced degree preferred — PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, MBA, or Master's in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related discipline. Proven MSL/team leadership — experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment. Client management experience with VP and C-suite executives, with a track record of successful and continued business development. Strong analytical and data-driven mindset — exposure to data analysis is required; GenAI/NLP experience is a strong advantage. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and influence senior client and internal audiences. Willingness to travel to client locations to support client engagements, scientific meetings, and business development initiatives.
